Had the day off, so I worked on my Call of Duty muscles.

But then I met my wife at the gym. I burned 598 calories and  did 20 lat pull downs (10 of 100lb; 10 of 90lbs).

I've done 70 push-ups for the day so far.

And my kdr is 1.0

I maxed 176 lbs on my squats yesterday after my workout.

Was doing 110 lbs 10x5 for my workout on squats.

25x2 crunches, then 25x2 reverse crunches on top of that.

I don't remember the exact numbers on everything else, but I can rattle them off when I get home.

Cardio day today.

This shaping up business sucks.

Started that food journal on Monday. 1500 calories. I weighed in at 178 this morning. Fast results. I'm enjoying having to strategize to fit in eating what I want to some extent.

Today for instance. I worked 10-10. No gym because fuck that, and I need a drink after that shift. Including 3 shots of vodka, I probably took in around 1530cal. No push-ups or gym, but I've been awake since 5:25AM and I'm sick.

Going to gym it on lunch tomorrow and have a freebie drink because fuck it Friday.

Easter weekend will be bad, but we've agreed to go to the gym on Saturday. Back to that Spartan routine Monday.

I forgot what really hungry feels like. Having to incorporate the vodka calories today reminded me.

But if I eat healthier, I get to eat more. And I'm positive I've lost virtually no muscle mass. My body looks a lot better at 178 today than it did at 177 or even 169 by last summer's end.

  Weighed in at 175.6 today. Very pleased. I worked 6-5 yesterday and only took a half hour lunch.

Started my intermediate program today.  Adding sets of Crunches, Reverse Crunches, and Cocoons to each day to work my abs more.  I have tone everywhere else but my abs.  This must change.

I'm no expert but I think planks might be better than crunches. And when you can't, just start with the push-ups.

I recently described push-ups as "active planks." It's evident when you first start doing them. I even managed to hurt 2 of my abs doing push-ups.

Planks also work more muscle groups.

Well, getting recommended planks by the Bytches made me incorporate them tonight.

I had legs day, but I'm working my abs daily now, so my ab workout was:

Crunches 30x2
Reverse Crunches 30x2
Cocoons 15x2
Planks 60x2

For planks, push ups and side planks I usually do tabata training. 8 sets of 30 seconds highest intensity. I put flutter kicks in there too.

I'm probably stepping up my sets next time, not reps.  Not sure yet.

I have my saturday, non-weight training plan set for 3 sets of each, so we'll see how that goes, then I'll decide whether I'm set for 3 sets daily.

I started ramping up the running as of this week.  Wanting to run off more of my pounds.

I'm now at 154 lbs.  My gut has zero change, so I've got to get rid of that.

I'm also doing 70 crunches, 70 reverse crunches, 40 cocoons, and 140 planks right now.

My core's the worst part of my body at this point, gotta beat it into submission.

Trying to bump up my running, it's hard.  I'm plateauing at 12 minutes on the treadmill, tried hitting 15 and realized it wasn't happening last night.

Gonna try again today, keep conditioning myself until I hit like 20 minutes at least.

I'm impressed anyone can run at all. I don't know if it's my flat feet or supposed asthma but I've never been able to run more than half a mile or so.

I can do a half hour with high resistance on the arc trainer just fine, but I don't *have* to lift my feet for that.

Save for Jr. High when I had to run a mile for basketball practice, I loved to run.  I was also lazy around that time, so running sucked.

Hitting the treadmill on a run gets me high, seriously.  So long as I can endure it, I enjoy it.

I haven't taken any recently.  I'm taking week 8 photos Friday or Saturday.

Tomorrow is my first gym-free day since last Tuesday. Happy for the break, but it's only due to tomorrow being a 12-hour shift.

Weighed in just under 173 this morning. I should have met my goal of 170 by the end of next week. It's been awful lol

I just pulled something in my back.

Probably scaling back my regimen.

I think it's the one I pull annually anyway.  But still, I think I'm overdoing it at this point.  I may go back to my week 4 beginner's routine.

I hate that shit. I lost days of push-ups to a pulled ab. My ankles were really bothering me on the arc trainer, but they seem fine now, luckily.

Yeah, also pulled something in my arch yesterday, so I cut leg day short.

If it's what I think it is, it should be fine in a few hours, and I'll try to do a light load tonight at the gym.

I plan on lifting and building by the end of the summer. I'll still have to eat smart but I'll get to eat more.

That'll be true of getting to where I want to be, though. In the low 170s, I don't have much more fat to lose.

Leaving for FLA on Saturday and I only expect to gain 4-5lb that week. Then back at it and onto my stretch goal.

Today was a great reward for my workouts.

We had a school sports competition, and one of the events every year is a Parents vs. Teachers relay race.  I've always been a fast runner, but lacked endurance and we'd get bodied, I'd have zero breath, and my legs would buckle near the end of my leg.

This year, I ran anchor, which equaled a longer distance.

To make a long story short, THEY GOT BODIED.  FREE.  FREE.

I still had gas in the tank that I could've ran another leg.

Have you done a beep test before? Ended up running into the mid 15's.

Had leg day yesterday but I've been getting done decent definition in my quads and calves. I want to cut a bit from my abs but other than that I've been focusing on bulk.

Never, I would love to just to clock myself though.

My abs are the reason I have such a heavy core program daily.  Now at 100 crunches, 100 reverse crunches, 30 bottoms up, and 140 planks daily.
