Another thing that was paramount this game -- and I hate when this happens, is that there was very little civ unity. Hard to lynch someone who's a major player in the game when everyone's arguing with one another. SA and MU22 should have been lynched before Chief. I was 300% sure both were mafia not even a day in, and the fact that they were left alive so long is mind boggling.

I don't think it'd have mattered much if I outed myself to get MP lynched when you let obvious mafia slide anyways.

I think we did a good job of preventing civ unity, and inserting ourselves into trust circles

I find it interesting how I was at the tip of everyone's tongue, yet walked away with no tooth marks upon my person.

It wasn't by your brilliant game play - that's for sure.

Just sayin'.

That's alright.

All I needed to do was to outshine the collective dimness.

Why RTSD, when going Choi style will net me the "W"?

That's the make or break, man. Good reads mean shit if civs can't rally together.  That takes most civs having good civ reads. If civs spend the whole game trying to find the mafia, they 1) won't find civs and 2) will often be so paranoid that they will misread civs as mafia for anything.

Civ reading is just as paramount as scumreading.  The faster people learn that, the better they'll be.

Players I think that do this well:

Alpha
You
Aidebit (Although he didn't show it this game, he had a really off one)
Myself
Blindknagg

I think my mafia reads are actually pretty bad. I always think I have an easier time pegging civs.

I'm always like WWVD and it doesn't work.

He didnt edit. He posted something meant for the mafia PM, then realized it, and posted LALALALALA directly after, and left the game because he thought he was dead; but it wasn't incriminating enough for anybody to pick up on

http://jesustoastmafia.com/index.php/topic,83.msg7193.html#msg7193

That post before the lalala was meant to be for the mafia PM lol

I don't honestly see how his post looks like it was meant for the mafia thread.

The LALALALALA would've been what freaked me out.

I can see it in hindsight, but it could, and was, construed as an in-thread post.
