Hmm ok we will work that like PW's cannons from Arena 2.

For 1 coin, add a player's name to the a drone's preferred hit list.
If other names are added into the "preferred list" (by other sponsors paying coins to get them on), the drone will RNG between those names on the list.
Names can be added onto the list multiple times.
The two drones for this phase will have separate lists.

In Marvel VS Capcom 3, his favorite fighting game as far as I know, he uses Firebrand (Red Arremer, translated to Red Devil) from the Ghosts N' Goblins series. It would mainly be so he would think I sent him the message and wouldn't trust it.

Ok guys, next phase the Cybertronian ship will crash land onto Earth, bringing along with it, two NPC Transformers, and all the items from Cybertron.  So the scavenge lists will merge. 

As far as the NPCs: so far we have:

Autobot: Metroplex, or some dinobot?
Ability: Cause RNG to negatively affect next person to mention turretius?
TRANSFORM!:
Preset actions: aggressively attack random decepticon (rolled at time of entry)?

Decepticon:
Ability: Cause RNG to negatively affect next person to mention turretius?
TRANSFORM!:
Preset actions: aggressively attack random autobot (rolled at time of entry)?

I know you guys weren't serious about some of the stuff (or were you?), but if you want to throw any more ideas out and then collectively decide on what you want to see, now is the time.  Otherwise, if I am to select them, I will go towards making these "support" bots to alleviate Augustus' concerns that the hazards are too many (it's only one NPC called the Pentagon - but he feels overwhelmed ok), where they would scavenge a random item and then offer to give it to a random player of their alignment.

How about 1 NPC to "support" like you were saying, random Scavenge to random Player sounds interesting, and 1 as a trigger-warning robot that just attacks the first person to say something each phase. Not instant kill them, that'd be silly, but just attack them with whatever weapon they have, and might could start with a basic 1d2 weapon and scavenge if nobody says the phrase.

In PW's games, retal damage was a specific trait of armor that was in the armor's description.  It's the same in my game, the armor all has descriptions of what they do.

In Fire Emblem, it was a mechanic that was specific to Fire Emblem and the Fire Emblem games.  Like I said before, this ain't Fire Emblem.

How about this:

Autobot: Slag (the triceratops dinobot)
Ability: Deals instant 1d2 melee damage to first person each phase to say "target" word.  Target word is chosen by the sponsors/GM each phase.  Game-related words (e.g., "transform", "attack"), player or flavor names, and extremely common words may not be used.  Words to be screened by GM.
Transform: Increase ability damage permanently by 1d2.
Preset action: Random main actions

Decepticon: Ratbat
Ability: Always win scavenges.
Transform: Destroy random item that a random Autobot owns.  If the Matrix is targeted, Ratbat dies.
Preset action: Each phase, will scavenge a random item each phase and offer it to a random Decepticon.  If the trade offer is declined, the offer will move to another random Decepticon.  If all Decepticons refuse the item, ? drops it.  If Ratbat cannot scavenge (i.e. there are no more items), then he will transform.

You should probably put that it can only trigger once per player per phase, and that it changes every phase. I can see that getting abused if someone has like 5 defense, just play the 2/3 odds that you'll get a buff.

Ability: Once per phase, the first person on the same planet as Slag to say "target" word triggers either 1d2 instant melee damage or a buff of +2 atk and +2 def for that phase (50% chance for either).  Target word changes each phase and is chosen by the sponsors/GM and may not be game-related words (e.g., "transform", "attack"), player or role names, and extremely common words (e.g. the, a, what) may not be used.  Spelling must be precise, but it is not case-sensitive.  Word selection to be screened by GM for fairness.
TRANSFORM!: Random autobot receives +2 atk, +2 def this phase
Preset actions: Random main actions; will not attack autobots.

Current target word: Turretius

Decepticon: Ratbat
Ability: Always win scavenges.
TRANSFORM!: Destroy random item that a random Autobot owns.  If the Matrix is targeted, Ratbat dies.
Preset action: Each phase, will scavenge a random item each phase and offer it to a random Decepticon.  If the trade offer is declined, the offer will move to another random Decepticon.  If all Decepticons refuse the item, Ratbat drops it.  If Ratbat cannot scavenge (i.e. there are no more items), then he will transform.

If anybody vehemently objects to this craziness, speak soon and maybe we'll change it.

Sigh. No time to actually play this game. Spent 2 phases in space, 1 phase killing somebody ,and then I was controlled to my death.

Too much randomness, not enough room for players to actually play each other. And I see you're sending even more hazards in : (
