Long drive out into the desert...

In a lambo

12
Donald can tell right away that the barmaid is honest and isn't hiding anything.

"Well, let me know if you do want something else," she says with a wink as she walks from table to table servicing the other patrons.

The bar is quite busy today as Geofferson chats it up with a few locals hanging around the kegs. The two barmaids make their way swiftly between the tables and booths, most of which are occupied by small groups of commoners. A table of soldiers are in one corner each telling war stories, but seemingly may be fishing stories of how they caught the "big one." A lone man in dark robes and a pointy hat sits in the opposite corner slowly sipping something from a skinny glass while casually flipping through a tattered, hefty book. A small line seems to be growing for the women's room.

13
Donald tries to assess if the barmaid is trustworthy.

TROPICAL PUNCH
Male Half-Orc fighter 1
None medium humanoid (orc, human)
Init +2; Senses Darkvision (60 ft.), Perception -2,
Languages Common, Orc

AC 12, touch 12, flat-footed 10
hp 10 (1HD)
Fort +2, Ref +4, Will -2, +2 trait bonus on all saving throws against illusions.

Speed 30 ft. (6 squares)
Face 5 ft. Reach 5 ft.
Base Atk +1; CMB +4; CMD 16

Abilities Str 16, Dex 14, Con 11, Int 10, Wis 6, Cha 8
Special Qualities Bonus Feats, Bonus Stabilization, Darkvision, Intimidating, Orc Blood, Orc Ferocity, Weapon Familiarity,
Feats Lightning Reflexes, Throw Anything
Skills Acrobatics +3, Bluff -1, Climb +3, Diplomacy -1, Disguise -1, Escape Artist +2, Fly +2, Heal -2, Intimidate +1, Perception -2, Perform (Untrained) -1, Ride +2, Sense Motive -2, Sleight of Hand +3, Stealth +2, Survival -2, Swim +3,
Possessions

Bonus Feats At 1st level, and at every even level thereafter, a fighter gains a bonus feat in addition to those gained from normal advancement (meaning that the fighter gains a feat at every level). These bonus feats must be selected from those listed as combat feats, sometimes also called "fighter bonus feats." Upon reaching 4th level, and every four levels thereafter (8th, 12th, and so on), a fighter can choose to learn a new bonus feat in place of a bonus feat he has already learned. In effect, the fighter loses the bonus feat in exchange for the new one. The old feat cannot be one that was used as a prerequisite for another feat, prestige class, or other ability. A fighter can only change one feat at any given level and must choose whether or not to swap the feat at the time he gains a new bonus feat for the level.

Bonus Stabilization Add +2 on rolls to stabilize when dying.

Darkvision (Ex) Range 60 ft.; Darkvision is the extraordinary ability to see with no light source at all, out to a range specified for the creature. Darkvision is black and white only (colors cannot be discerned). It does not allow characters to see anything that they could not see otherwise-invisible objects are still invisible, and illusions are still visible as what they seem to be. Likewise, darkvision subjects a creature to gaze attacks normally. The presence of light does not spoil darkvision.

Dirty Fighter You wouldn't have lived to make it out of childhood without the aid of a sibling, friend, or companion on whom you could always count to distract your enemies long enough to do a little bit more damage than normal. When you hit a foe you are flanking, you deal an additional 1 point of damage (this damage is added to your base damage, and is multiplied on a critical hit). This additional damage is a trait bonus.

Intimidating (Ex) Half-orc receive a +2 racial bonus on Intimidate skill checks due to their fearsome nature.

Orc Blood (Ex) Half-orc count as both humans and orcs for any effect related to race.

Orc Ferocity (Ex) 1/day, when a half-orc is brought below 0 hit points, but not killed, he can fight on for one more round as if disabled. At the end of his next turn, unless brought to above 0 hit points, he immediately falls unconscious and begins dying.

Skeptic Growing up, you were always around magical effects to the extent that you realized that much of it was smoke and mirrors. You gain a +2 trait bonus on all saving throws against illusions.

Weapon Familiarity (Ex) Half-orcs are proficient with greataxes and falchions, and treat any weapon with the word "orc" in its name as a martial weapon.

It's fairly slow-paced as well. Really, the main objective is to fill in dead air/space in between actual games. But I have no intention on quitting. I do have some surprises in store for the party. If you guys want to switch up the pace and go faster (just in case you are furiously refreshing the page), well fuck you.

Possessions

Bonus Feat Humans select one extra feat at 1st level.

Bonus Rogue Talent The human gains +1/6 of a new rogue talent.

Charming Blessed with good looks, you've come to depend on the fact that others find you attractive. You gain a +1 trait bonus when you use Bluff or Diplomacy on a character that is (or could be) sexually attracted to you, and a +1 trait bonus to the save DC of any language-dependent spell you cast on such characters or creatures.

Skilled Humans gain an additional skill rank at first level and one additional rank whenever they gain a level.

Sneak Attack (Ex) If you can catch an opponent when he is unable to defend himself effectively from your attack, you can strike a vital spot for extra damage. Your attack deals 1d6 points of extra damage anytime your target would be denied a Dexterity bonus to AC, or when you flank your target. Should you score a critical hit with a sneak attack, this extra damage is not multiplied. Ranged attacks can count as sneak attacks only if the target is within 30 feet. With a weapon that deals nonlethal damage, you can make a sneak attack that deals nonlethal damage instead of lethal damage. You cannot use a weapon that deals lethal damage to deal nonlethal damage in a sneak attack, not even with the usual -4 penalty. You must be able to see the target well enough to pick out a vital spot and must be able to reach such a spot. You cannot sneak attack while striking a creature with concealment.

Starchild (Desna) Desna sensed your love of travel and promised you would always be able to find your way home. You can automatically determine where true north is. You gain a +4 trait bonus on Survival checks to avoid becoming lost.

Trapfinding (Ex) You add +1 to Perception skill checks made to locate traps and to Disable Device skill checks. You can use the Disable Device skill to disarm magical traps.

MP - you also get to choose an Arcane School from the following:

Abjuration
Conjuration
Divination
Enchantment
Evocation
Illusion
Necromancy
Sin Magic Specialist
Transmutation

Or choose none and be a Universalist.

MP - you've chosen Transmutation as your Arcane School. Now choose two opposing schools - spells from these two schools will be harder for you to cast.

Dancing Lights - Range is 100ft, meaning you can make torches or will-o-wisp-like things (or even a vaguely humanoid shape) far away and they last for 1 minute
Dancing Lantern - Range is touch, meaning you will make a lantern within 5 ft of yourself, but it follows you as move, and it lasts for 1 hour+

Awesome, and is there a difference between dancing lights and lanterns?

Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

You mean Light?

Light: Object shines like a torch.

So Dancing Lights would create torches or other lights. Light would make an object begin to illuminate like a torch.

22
She smiles instantly, taken quite aback by Donald's charming aura. She giggles and fumbles to say, "...!..here...," and hands Donald the mug of ale in her other hand. "How else can I help you?"

23
The barmaid drops a mug of ale onto Tropical's table. It's a full double-pint glass with the froth overspilling the top. They sure know how to pour 'em at Geofferson's. "First one's on the house!"

As she turns from the table, her frilly skirt twirls with her and almost spills the mug in her other hand onto a rather handsome man. She catches herself and looks Donald up and down as he is making his advance...

Dancing Lights: creates torches or other lights
Ghost Sound: Figment sounds

A figment spell creates a false sensation. Those who perceive the figment perceive the same thing, not their own slightly different versions of the figment. It is not a personalized mental impression. Figments cannot make something seem to be something else. A figment that includes audible effects cannot duplicate intelligible speech unless the spell description specifically says it can. If intelligible speech is possible, it must be in a language you can speak. If you try to duplicate a language you cannot speak, the figment produces gibberish. Likewise you cannot make a visual copy of something unless you know what it looks like (or copy another sense exactly unless you have experienced it).

Because figments and glamers are unreal, they cannot produce real effects the way that other types of illusions can. Figments and glamers cannot cause damage to objects or creatures, support weight, provide nutrition, or provide protection from the elements. Consequently, these spells are useful for confounding foes, but useless for attacking them directly.

Fast-Talker

Half-Orc

Hmm, you're running into the same problem as Alpha. Both Fast-Talker and Adopted are Social Traits, so you can't have both of them. Here are the specific details for those traits.

Fast-Talker: You had a knack at getting yourself into trouble as a child, and as a result developed a silver tongue at an early age. You get a bonus to your Bluff skill.

Choosing Half-Orc as an adoptive race allows you to choose either Brute (You have worked for a crime lord, either as a lowlevel enforcer or as a guard, and are adept at frightening away people) or Outcast (Driven from town after town because of your heritage, you have become adept at living apart from others. You get a bonus to your Survival skill).

Charming
Bully

Damn, Bully is also a Social Trait.

Bully - You grew up in an environment where the meek were ignored and you often had to resort to threats or violence to be heard. You get a bonus to your Intimidate Skill.

So.......pick again.

Other Game Sign-ups / Re: Play-by-post Roleplaying Pathfinder

Adopted
Wisdom in the Flesh

So Adopted will mean that you were adopted and raised by someone not of your own actual race, and raised in a society not your own. Which race would you like your adoptive race to be?

Also, Wisdom in the Flesh will do nothing for you because it's uses your Wisdom score for things instead of Strength or Dex, but all of your scores for those abilities are generally the same. Pick another one instead.

Other Game Sign-ups / Re: Play-by-post Roleplaying Pathfinder
« on: March 21, 2018, 02:06:22 am »
Charming
Rich Parents

Hmm you can't pick both of these because these are both Social Traits and you can't pick two from the same type. I guess I should have separated out the different Traits by type. Generally, there are Comabt, Magic, Faith, and Social Traits. There are also Religious, Regional, and Racial Traits but I lumped everything together in that list to make it less complex. Anyhow, here are the details of the two Traits you selected.

Charming - get bonus to Bluff and Diplomacy skills (and spells) vs characters that may be attracted to you
Rich Parents - start with 900 gp wealth

So please pick one between the two if you still want them, and please choose another from the list.

Favored Class Bonus - you all get to pick one more bonus to further make your character unique. Every time you level up, you'll get to pick one of these again. So if you see a fraction, it means you would need to take this bonus multiple times over multiple levels to get it.

Alpha, please select from:
- one extra HP
- one extra Skill Rank
- gain 1/6 of a new Rogue talent

Missing Person, please select from:
- one extra HP
- one extra Skill Rank
- when casting wizard enchantment spells, add +1/3 to the effective caster level of the spell, but only to determine the spell's duration

Synonym, please select from:
- one extra HP
- one extra Skill Rank
- add +1 to the gnome's total number of bardic performance rounds per day

Fruit Punch Samurai G, please select from:
- one extra HP
- one extra Skill Rank
- add +2 on rolls to stabilize when dying

Is there a downside to having two craft attempts going at once.

Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Each craft takes some of your wealth depending on the value of the item you're trying to craft (usually 1/3 of the raw material). The value of jewelry can vary, so for this piece that Sammich is trying craft I assumed a value of 3 gp, which would cost you 1 gp.

35
Other Game Sign-ups / Re: Play-by-post Roleplaying Pathfinder

So if you fail at crafting, it just means that it takes longer to craft it. You will automatically roll again to craft it the next day. Synonym, if you want to actually try again, it means you'll start on a second one and eventually have two. Is that what you want or will you just wait til tomorrow for Sammich to try crafting again?

A peppy barmaid walks up to the brooding Tropical Punch, "What can I get ya, big boy?" She seems quite busy as the tavern is filling in with the late afternoon usual crowd.

43
Sammich takes out a single gold coin from his pocket. He looked at it, envisioning how he would melt the coin and forge the golden neck chain that Donald was looking for. He turned it over and over in between his fingers thinking about how he would begin. Then he fumbled, and the coin slipped from his fingers. The coin bounced onto the cobblestone road and somewhere onto a fast moving horse-driven cart, never to be seen again.

44
Sammich quickly gets to work.

Okay, must have forgotten how expensive mithral is. Is Spider silk body suit an option? And then I want some kind of switchblade.

Ok you've got a switchblade knife.

You can't afford a spidersilk body suit unfortunately (it's like 850 gp).
