Is that the mode where they're in a box so it's a "corner" at all times?

Plus the shit that people got pissed at with SFxT was that there were multiple characters who had jab infinites unconditionally. Literally jab, walk, jab and it wasn't even that frame tight IIRC.

Don't forget, a core component of Marvel games is the inactives. The Great Purge of Day 3 way back in the day.

I was actually kinda bummed when they removed the numbers on damage from the E3 showing to the full release of Marvel. It fit the comic book style really well IMO

I'd say it's going to be in between Marvel and GG as far as inputs. But overall, I think it's got potential no matter what, and if people don't like Infinite, they'll have two months at least to wait for a real game to take its place.

But Tekken 7, King of Fighters [insert favorite year here], and Netherealms Fighter 4 are already out.

That's fair Pimp. There's a fine line between promoting a game of a similar genre when someone expresses distaste for another and shit-talking one game while shouting the other's praises. In their defense though I haven't seen CDPR try to stoke the fires over players moving games, that's been the community. Also I think that when there's one very clear "king" of a genre comparisons are going to happen eventually, saying "this is different from Hearthstone" when Hearthstone is objectively the biggest online CCG ever made is often the fastest TL;DR way to explain the differences between the two games.

And thanks MP. There's a side event at EVO but I'm gonna be too busy to go this year if I wanted to. I'll loosely try to keep next year open though, and I should be more settled into my living, school, and work situations by that point.

You're siding with a Blizzard game and claiming Gwent is getting paid to be promoted? It's fine if you don't like the game but don't pretend like Hearthstone isn't supported. Sorry to hear about your loss of job security though, that sucks.

Just got back from SoCal, 372 man tournament. Seeded 26th in top 64 bracket, ended up beating 3 top 15 players in the world and coming in at third place. Feels super good man.

Gonna be too busy between tournaments, work, & moving this summer to go

Yeah, it's a 372-person national it's gonna be streamed. I'd rather not stress test the mods' banning potential by giving you the link though lol.

And Pimp I'll try. If you message me your phone number then I can update you much faster than checking & responding on JTM.

Unrelated, Gwent goes into open beta tomorrow morning. I'm super hyped for it, closed beta was pretty awesome, and I can understand every change they've made to the game since.

From Wednesday to Monday. Tournament is Sat/Sun, will also be busy on Friday. Probably won't have much freedom of movement since no car.

Flying to California tomorrow. Competing in a nearly 400-person Smash tournament. Gonna be in Pomona, same place where EVO Moment #37 happened.

Freaking dumbass people. I get that it's not the standard way of playing the game but when there's a minion that says "BOSS" and has 85 goddamn health and your decks are filled with cards that help your opponent or both of you you'd think people would get the hint.

Call it morbid curiosity but I would actually be very entertained by an animal abuse trial where the prosecution tries to argue that some guy called his male cat "he" when the cat is trans. Proving that he called the cat with one pronoun exclusively would be hard enough, imagine trying to prove that an animal believes they've been born the wrong gender.

While the shortcuts help and legitimately make things easier, if you have ass execution in KOF it's because you're not doing the motions correctly. SF4 spoiled everyone on what a DP motion actually is.

34
I haven't thought about that in months, so negative progress actually.

It's really rare that I work Sunday nights, yeah. And it's a shift-based system, I can request trades with people. We have some fiends at the theater lol, so long as I ask around starting the Tuesday I get my schedule for the week I'll probably be good.

Weekend evenings are unlikely for me because I work at a movie theater and every movie ever that people want to see is coming out in March.

45
Acknowledged.

Sending out the roles and getting the N0 responses isn't that important if it's super early morning/late at night. It's mainly just the phases. I was busy Saturday morning, went to work, and when I got home there were a few hours left. Starting at some afternoon time would be ideal, so we'd have time to discuss, sleep on it, and discuss again in the morning. That's if the game is predominantly USA time zones though.

47
I think he just made me Mafia so he could say "you are literally Toogs" and be objectively correct.

Pimp I see now that Insomniac would've also worked but there were 2 problems at the time.

I didn't have time to read through everything and formulate an articulate statement about being the Insomniac at 1 in the morning after work.

Saying nothing was working perfectly as is. My name came up a few times but it was always fleeting. IIRC this is the only game I've played in a long time where I didn't get a day 1 vote.

We definitely need some kind of policy against inactivity in the future though. Whether it's a modkill if you don't vote or a meta policy where inactivity is met with death, this breaks the intended flow of the game.

For what it's worth I am sorry for not being around earlier, that somewhat fractures the game. I'll be sure to bow out if I get scheduled to work same day as another game again.
